Loved having the whole week off for Thanksgiving...

but really where did the time go?! It seems like it just flew by..oh well..4 weeks and we'll be on Christmas break..not that I'm counting down the days or anything. ;)

During my lovely week off I did enjoy spending time with my littles, lounging around the house, finishing some little mini-units..and all around relaxing and enjoying the Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends.

I hope y'all did too! Y'all deserve it!

Word Work

I don't know about you..but every year I get a couple of littles that really struggle with their phonics skills. We work on these skills...all. the. time. but sometimes they just need something new. This is why I decided to create these little word work units...to help my littles...it seems like the presentation of the skill is just as important as the skill itself..my littles love color and cuteness..so I felt obliged to deliver! Thus.. Word Work for Little Learners was created..these word work activities are designed to build your students' skills and confidence. They'll be learning the phonics skill and having fun at the same time...win, win!

Some of my ELL littles are still struggling with their short vowels...and cvc words...so this is where I started. Here's a preview of the first two units...hopefully the rest of the short vowels will be finished soon..and I can share them with y'all at my 'lil TpT store.

A Feast of Thanks

I love Thanksgiving..the turkey, the dressing, the family time and football games..it's a special time around our home..one in which we do remember how blessed we really are..and for that I am oh so thankful.

October's Photo Dump

Please excuse this post if it's all over the place...I've been dead tired lately. But I can't break my promise to you about blogging more than once per week...so here I am...happy go lucky! ;)

I've been taking tons of pictures with my iPhone..'ya know sometimes it's just easier to use than a regular ole camera..so here's my photo dump for the month of October...enjoy!

Miss Kindergarten's adorable monster was the easiest craftivity ever..and oh so cute!

Don't judge okay..but I tried multiple times to take a good picture of my 4 sweeties..this is the best I could do..{sigh!} Notice Harry Potter staring into space..story of my life.

 

And just to keep it real..here I am..I was Snow White for the day..my little girls loved my costume..and I of course enjoyed being a princess for the day..I mean that's every little girl's dream, isn't it?!  :)

Okay..so it was the end of the day and I was exhausted..please don't judge!

Finally..it's November!

 

I {puffy} heart November!

My kiddidles are all on a semi-normal routine, the stress of BOY assessment, parent/teacher conferences, and Halloween is finally over! Don't get me wrong..I love October..but November has to be my favorite month to teach. I love having our routines established and getting down with guided reading and readers' workshop..this is definitely my favorite time of day!

As we all know this week is all about the presidential elections..next week we will be learning about our veterans and enjoying some Thanksgiving activities...and then we're off for our fall break! Pheeww!! I have to cram as much teaching as I can in these next two weeks..it'll probably be crazy and hectic..but I'll love it! :)

Anywho..I've created this Veterans Day Mini-Unit to help me out with a few activities..I'm sure my littles will love it!
