This video was AMAZING! I am the technology coach at my school, as well as teaching 1st, and I know I'll be sharing it with my team! Thank you so much for sharing this!
I can never tell if these videos inspire me or frustrate me. I agree wholeheartedly, but am always left with the feeling of, "But, how?" I really wish their was uniformity in schools in terms of available technology and expectations. I do the best I can, but often feel limited and wish I could do more. Thanks for sharing.❤Jodi from...★★The Clutter-Free Classroom★★Helping Teachers Get Organized
I have seen this video before and it was great to watch it again! I agree with Jodi...inspiring and frustrating at the same time. I do what I can with technology including a classroom blog and parents were very responsive to that. I would love to experiment more with technology in the classroom this year!KTSneaker Teacher
What a great video! It's a good reminder of what kids today need. Thanks for sharing!Tales of a Teacherista
This video was shown at my districts back to school kick off last year. I love it. I have used it and referenced it in a couple of papers and training programs I have had to do for my Master's classes. Thanks for sharing it with everyone!Jena1st Grade with Miss Snowden
I've seen this video before and it's just as powerful now!!
Powerful!! And my son's school just cut computer classes from the budget!!! How frustrating! Even more of a reason for us teachers to step up and expose our kids to more technology in the classroom!
Jodi,I agree with you. I want to do more with technology, but I feel like my hands are tied behind my back. I guess we just have to do the best we can with what we have.
My school watched this at our back to school day just for teachers last yr- VERY interesting and makes you think! :) I just shared it on fb ;)
Loved the video!!! I think there is so much truth to this. I recently graduated and I am getting ready to start my first teaching job in the fall!! The school I was student teaching at had a smart board (interactive white board) but no one knew how to use it!!!! I had used it in my university classes and was ecstatic when I saw the school had one. However, it wasn't set up correctly, and no one knew what to do with it. How frustrating! It ended up working and the kids LOVED using it, but technology definitely needs to find it's place in the classrooms. At my new job I will be the technology coach, any suggestions on fun/interesting/engaging activities I could use in the classroom? I'm always open to new ideas!Madisen http://5professionsinoneateacher.blogspot.com/
