Well there it is...I did forget to take a picture of my small group area...it's on my to do list. This year I tried to keep it calm and not too busy looking...I hope I have achieved what I set out to do... |

I love your room! I love the pop of different colors! Those pails are too cute, where did you get them?
Thank you, Katie! I got the pails at Target in the dollar spot section...I too ♥ them...I'm going to put my "kiss your brain" pencils in them...
Very cute! It looks great! I LOVE seeing other rooms! Thanks for sharing! My firsties show up on Monday. I've already told my husband that I will need to come home and take a nap! LOL! We are setting for 33!!!!! Yikes!

Could you explain the chunk wall with the vowels? I love your room- great for first grade. :)
Carpenter Family Chronicle,
As I introduce each chunk I will place an anchor word with the chunk underlined in red under the vowel it corresponds to...for example cat would be my anchor word for -at and I will place it under the a...hope that makes sense....this system has worked very well for me...
Very gorgeous!
I started following you recently-as I was a first grade teacher...who took 10 (!!) years off to have some babies...and now, this year, heading back to the classroom-in first grade again!
Your classroom is inspiring-keep the exciting things coming my way, please! :)
I love your classroom! Great job!
Love your photos and classroom. It looks so organized and calming. Also, love all your little touches! What do you do for your Chunk wall? Excellent job. Isn't it the most wonderful feeling to have your room organized and orderly and all ready to teach in!?
Never mind on my question...LOL. You already answered!
Your classroom looks great!! I know what you mean about being exhausted! I think I am finally adjusting to be back at school! Hope you enjoy your LONG weekend!
